Introducing...The Barbell SPT Podcast

Alright, so this is something that I have wanted to do for a while, but never felt like I had good enough content or information. I’ve now got over that fear and decided that it would be more fun than anything and hopefully, at the same time deliver good, informational content.

That being said, I’d like to introduce to you The Barbell SPT Podcast! (learn how the name came about in the first episode)

I’ve always really enjoyed podcasts, and the idea of having a conversation recorded on audio about topics that I’m passionate about seems pretty exciting. Now, I want to share that with you and the rest of the community at The Barbell SPT, as well as anyone else that enjoys this stuff.

So a little about the podcast, or at least what I foresee the podcast being:

For those that don’t know, I’m currently in graduate school working on my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (hear more about what led me to PT in the first episode of the podcast). Being in graduate school and going through the education has helped me understand things a little bit better from the medical side. My main goal with the podcast is to marry fitness and physical therapy together and discuss how they work in harmony with each other - after all, physical therapy is a profession based around exercise. Topics can range from specific exercises to anatomical nuances that the fitness world misconstrues.

Keep in mind, this is the initial idea I have for the podcast but who knows! It could go in a completely different direction, if there are things that you would like to hear about, or topics you would like me to discuss, by all means, leave a comment below, message me on Facebook or Instagram, or feel free to leave a comment on any of my posts on either of those platforms.

I’m excited about this new chapter for myself and The Barbell SPT. This is going to add a new dynamic to all of the content here as it will allow me to integrate more of the physical therapy aspects with fitness for a more well-rounded approach to health, longevity, and happiness.

That being said, I hope you enjoy the content, find it the podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. If you found an episode that you really like, share it with someone else who might find it useful or informational! Again, I’m always open to feedback to improve the experience, so hit me with it!
